What it is: A bandom Secret Santa-style fic exchange. When you can sign up: Now through 11:59 p.m. Pacific time Friday, Oct. 12. When you'll receive your assignment: By Wednesday, Oct. 17. When fics are due: 11:59 p.m. Pacific time Friday, Dec. 14. Requirements: All fics must be at least 1,500 words and be beta'd. When fics will be posted: They'll be split up across a 12-day period from Saturday, Dec. 22, through Wednesday, Jan. 2. When authors will be revealed: Sunday, Jan. 6.
Which pairings you'd like to read about. You can list as many pairings as you want, but you must list at least three. If you request GSF or threesomes, please also list at least two regular pairings in addition to those. This way your writer will have some options! From these options, writers only have to pick one of the pairings, though they may include more of your pairings if they'd like. Which pairings you don't want to read about. Obviously writers should choose to write one of the pairings you request, but this is here to ensure they don't include a side pairing that you have strong objections to. What elements you would like to see in the fic written for you. These include fic cliches, tropes, kinks, AUs, etc. These are meant to give your writer an idea of what you might enjoy. However, your writer is not required to write any of these elements. What elements you do not want to read. For example, if you don't want angst, death, watersports, etc., list it here. Fic writers MUST abide by this list of don'ts. Additional details/prompts. Again, this helps give your writer ideas, but they do not have to adhere to these. In this area, you could give prompts or let your writer know if there's a pairing or character you've listed that you'd strongly prefer they write about. Which pairings or bands you'd be comfortable writing. For example, if you're comfortable writing any pairing in MCR, you can just list MCR. If you can only write Gerard/Frank, just list them instead. Which pairings or bands you would not be comfortable writing. If you know nothing about Empires, for example, and list them here, I'll make sure not to assign you someone who only wants Empires fic. Elements you wouldn't mind writing and elements you wouldn't want to write. This helps to match you up with requesters. If you'd be interested in pinch-hitting. In case there are dropouts, I'll put you on the list of people I need to beg to help make sure everyone gets a fic.
